The reign of the enthroned king Xbox 360 of the gaming empire is nearing its end. Tech giant Microsoft’s successful venture has already completed a decade in the gaming console history. This gaming station was a major threat to Sony’s Play Station 3. While, a much more sophisticated version has been introduced by Microsoft a few years back, which has more reach now and hence this quitting off the space is quite expected.

Since its majestic introduction in the year 2005, the product has never received any set back with the sale being millions of units. The product chief of Microsoft Phil Spencor makes it clear that the recent Xbox One is one of the prime factor for such a decision by the management. Lest, the difficulties of manufacturing a decade old product is never an easy task.

Though one cannot expect anymore Xbox 360s again from Microsoft, its prevailing inventory of consoles are still for sale with availability depending up on the country. The company promises that customers can continue enjoying Xbox Live services like online multiplayer gaming and parties, Games with Gold, Deals with Gold, and access to apps and so on. More to say, the Xbox Live servers will be active and not closed, hence the consumers are still allowed to play games with full backing from the tool as before. Microsoft also  has plans to barter around four thousand Xbox 360 games and accessories through its retail outlets and its own online store to sell off the remaining stocks. The company assures its extended customer care support to all the hardware issues relating to the gaming console.

As one may recall, last year Microsoft has made avail free backwards compatibility for the old gaming console enabling users to continue playing their Xbox 360 games on the advanced Xbox One. This has made it easier and smooth for the players to switch on to the newer console in place of the aged gaming console Xbox 360. Adieu Xbox 360!
