The leading Tech developer Apple recognizes their manufacturing defects at home and a quick decision was taken to recall the affected devices. Apple has sent a notice in public about its faulty AC wall plug adapters with two prongs targeted for distribution in countries such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Continental Europe, New Zealand and South Korea.
“There is a probability for two- pronged plug AC adapters to break causing a chance of electrical shock”, the company said.
Earlier Apple was reported with 12 such incidents. It was known that adapters shipped between 2003 and 2015 with Mac and certain iOS devices and the ones included with Apple World Travel Adapter Kit are some among the faulty devices.
Meanwhile the company ensured that AC wall plug adapters intended for sale in Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, UK, US do not fall under this threat. Also the Apple USB power adapters are completely safe to use. Adding to this guarantee Apple also urges its users to thoroughly check their AC adapters and make sure it doesn’t come under the faulty devices.
The defective two- prong adapters have either four or five characters or no characters on the inside slot where it attaches to the main Apple power Adapter.
